About
Ultraviolence is a pure player kill mud. Medieval ideas of levels, classes, and races are dispensed with and replaced with guns, explosives, and a focus on pure violence and destruction. Players log on and are randomly assigned to a team. The objective is to capture the flag of the opposing team, killing members of the opposite team who get in your way, while avoiding being killed. Players navigate a randomly generated maze filled with weapons, ammunition, bombs, and mobiles and other players out to kill you. Once the goal is achieved (the flag is captured), the game resets. While the game is conceptually simple, there is a deeper level of strategy beneath the surface. Whether you choose to focus on playing as a lone warrior with a big gun or a suicide bomber out to take as many with you as you can is up to you.
Ultraviolence is based in design on a much older game called Ground Zero, but was coded from scratch. Source code for the game will be ultimately available.
